# Samsung Tizen and LG webOS

Source: https://docs.ezoic.com/docs/ctv/samsung-lg/

This guide covers serving Ezoic video ads from Samsung Smart TV (Tizen) and LG Smart TV (webOS) apps. Both platforms run web-technology apps. Read [Web and TV-browser players](/docs/ctv/web-players/) first. This page covers only what differs.

## Tag template (app lane)

```
https://g.ezoic.net/ezoic/videoad/vast?bundle=<APP_ID>&app_domain=<YOUR_EZOIC_DOMAIN>&app_name=<APP_NAME>&storeurl=<STORE_URL>&adunit=<YOUR_VIDEO_AD_UNIT>&ifa=<PLATFORM_AD_ID>&ifa_type=<tifa|vida>&lmt=<0|1>&devicetype=3&plcmt=1&v=4&w=1920&h=1080&startdelay=0&content_id=<ID>&content_title=<TITLE>&content_genre=<GENRE>&content_cat=<IAB_CAT>&content_len=<SECONDS>&livestream=<0|1>&us_privacy=<USP>&cb=<RANDOM>
```

Installed Tizen and webOS apps use the app lane. Send `bundle`, with registration and app-ads.txt, rather than `url`.

## Platform identity

| | Samsung Tizen | LG webOS |
|---|---|---|
| `bundle` | Tizen application ID | webOS app ID |
| `storeurl` | Samsung Apps TV listing | LG Content Store listing |
| `ifa` | The platform's advertising identifier, read from the platform's ad info API | The platform's advertising identifier, read from the platform's device identity service |
| `ifa_type` | `tifa` | `vida`, if the platform identifier is a VIDA |
| `lmt` | `1` when the platform reports limited ad tracking | `1` when the platform reports limited ad tracking |

Honour limited ad tracking on both platforms. Send the platform-returned, zeroed identifier with `lmt=1`. Never substitute another ID.

The API names differ across platform SDK versions. Check the Samsung and LG documentation for the calls your target OS versions support, and use feature detection to gate them.

## Player integration

IMA HTML5 works on both platforms' web engines, and the endpoint is CORS-enabled. The IMA flow from the web guide applies unchanged. Only the tag URL differs, because of the app lane and the identifier above.

Older TV models ship older browser engines. If you support them, test the IMA version you bundle against your oldest target firmware.

## Open Measurement

Both platforms are supported by the Open Measurement SDK for CTV. The tag declares OMID automatically for non-Roku CTV requests. If your app runs its own OM session, also send `omidpn` and `omidpv`.

## Go-live checklist

- [ ] App-lane identity is set: `bundle`, `app_domain` and `storeurl`, with registration and app-ads.txt in place
- [ ] `ifa` comes from the platform API, `ifa_type` is `tifa` (Samsung) or `vida` (LG, where applicable), and `lmt` is honoured
- [ ] `adunit` is set to your normal video ad unit name
- [ ] `devicetype=3`, real `w` and `h`, and `startdelay` are sent
- [ ] IMA is tested on your oldest supported firmware
- [ ] Content metadata is populated
